Dear Ones,

We were at the abortion clinic at seven forty-five Thursday Morning, and as we drove to it we had a wonderful sense of the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and of His Power, which carried on into the time we were there.

I’m am so very thankful to our Lord for the sense of His protection because across the street, kiddy corner to the clinic, a man sat and was yelling out and speaking strange things, making horrible noises.  I thought of the tribal people in Africa and the description of those people who were demon possessed and thought it must be so with this man. It also came to mind that he was there to bother our work. However, because we are the people of the living God through our Lord Jesus Christ, he had no power over us… our fight is not against flesh and blood..(Eph.6). We were not the least bit shaken, and eventually after over an hour he left.

Three girls took literature, but two threw the papers into the garbage as they went in. They are told not to talk with us, not to take the papers or throw them away if they do. Actually they have an “escort” sitting at the entrance of the gate and one at the doors with cell phones and communicate to the mothers coming in. It’s set up so the girls haven’t a chance to think for themselves. The third girl that took the literature seemed to be more receptive, I asked  her to read it and think for herself which I repeated as she went into the building, and she did not throw it away!

Some of the escorts are very hostile to the side walk counselors, as a couple was coming out of the clinic in the back alley way, along with an escort, one of the side walk counselors offered literature and spoke words of counsel to the couple, the escort turned and said, “you be quiet”. It is very sad to see this deception in progress.

Thank you for your prayers!  It was encouraging to learn that 4 couples never showed up for their appointment! We continue to pray for the 9 that did.

In the afternoon as we stood in front of Planned Parenthood a man came over and spoke to Mr. Tuttle. He was angry about our signs and wanted Jim to know. He was given the gospel and though he is a “flaming liberal” it was an answer to prayer. We had prayed that someone might come up to the group (there were eight of us)  and might be given the gospel! Please pray for Mike, he left letting us know he didn’t agree. Still we rejoice because he heard the Word of God, which we know our Lord can use!

Thank you so much again for praying!!! The next abortion clinic day is Friday, JUNE SECOND, at eight A.M. and of course every Thursday we plan to stand in front of P.P. at three to four. If we stand without prayer, we stand alone!

Much love sent your way in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Sarah

Dear Ones,
Thank you again for your prayers for today. Oh it’s such a spiritual battle at the abortion clinic, the enemy desires to kill and destroy, all of us doing the sidewalk counsel see this and know it. Today was interesting, personally I did not feel strong again, but as Leah and I were standing in the back alley of the building (sometimes the mothers chose to go in that way and we get an opportunity to say something to them) we began singing and praising our Lord Jesus softly and praying for the workers we could see going in. He strengthened us through the praise and prayer. Up at the entrance we talked to a man that said his wife had an abortion, even though it had happened years ago he was in tears. He is a man in great pain and mentioned that he had been in the Vietnam war and felt that God could never forgive him for his past. We gave him the glorious gospel message but I think he couldn’t stay to talk because he was too broken up, he thanked us and quickly walked away.
An older lady with her pregnant daughter asked me if I knew of a place to eat… I told them and gave them the packet of information, they took two things I offered and walked on. Another lady was leading her weeping daughter into the clinic.. they sat out side for a cigarette, and I called out to her… the young mother yelled “you don’t know what happened to me” I told her how sorry I was that it had happened but that her baby should not have to bear the agony of this cruel death because of it. I said many other things like “your  baby is a person, you will never forget your baby, you’re a mother and you will be a mother forever”. We try to say things that might help them to think and realize the truth but we know only our Lord can make them understand. We always offer help,  telling them that we are a ministry to help… This young mother swore at me and cursed as they went into the clinic..
A young father took the packet of information but his girlfriend just kept walking into the clinic, he followed her with it in his hand, it’s good he took it because it’s full of helpful contacts and pictures of babies that have been aborted. All together there was about fifteen that went in today… We are still  praying even now that they will change their minds. We also pray for their salvation… oh my what terrible psychological consequence these women must face after they get an abortion… it destroys lives and minds… they need so much prayer.
Next Tuesday the pro-life group plans to go to Brainard MN. and pass out fliers door to door, and then stand in front of the Planned Parenthood that is there with signs of truth. The idea here is to get more people aware of what  P.P. is doing to the youth… the lies and harm they are doing is worse then most understand. It is an institution for evil, encouraging and promoting immoral behavior and their target is the young people. It is a multi-million dollar business.
On Thursday of next week we plan to go back for sidewalk counseling at eight am till about ten and then front of P.P. from three to four.
thank you for praying, our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified forever!

Dear Ones,

We know you were praying for us on Thursday for our Lord was surely using us. There were eleven girls that went into the clinic and one took the material. I had an opportunity to “preach at” two girls that came out for a cigarette… that is I called for them to look at their ultrasounds and explained that there are many physiological bad effects that mothers have after an abortion… also I said many other things, such as “God cares for the life of your baby” and “your baby is a person” and other things… just pleading that they would not destroy the baby… We never know how our Lord will work through the things we say… but we are indeed a voice  for the innocent for those that are condemned to die. The girls went back into the building and only God knows if they come out… however, my heart is very burdened for them and I still am praying for their salvation.

A young man walked by, perhaps in his thirties, I told him we were there as a voice for those that are condemned to die… he said he knew and began to tell his story of a girlfriend that almost aborted their baby, but didn’t… I was able to give him the gospel, and a Bible… he cried during the conversation… please pray for Bart… oh how my heart cries unto the Lord for these lost ones!

The thirty minutes of prayer before standing in front of Planned Parenthood was such a blessing and help to us, our Lord protected us as we held signs for truth “Motherhood begins at conception” and “Children are an inheritance of the Lord” and others…. We pray that our Lord will speak to the hearts of people… hundreds pass as we stand there.

Thank you for letting us share these things with you and for praying….

lovingly in our Dear Lord,
Sarah

Dear Ones,

We felt so weak yesterday as we met for prayer as a group. Jim Tuttle had
spoken to a college group the day before and many things were up against
him… he got through it but felt beat down. Several so-called disasters
such as printing 2,000 papers and finding out it was all wrong and needing
to take six hours to correct the problem. More and more things kept hitting
him… but our Lord was with him and got him through it all. We talked of
Elijah on Mt. Carmel, he prayed for rain… “there is nothing” was the reply
until the seventh time. The kids and I may encourage ourselves with simply
saying “there is nothing” to remind ourselves not to judge simply by
appearance. We felt weak, I had a feeling of uselessness, just there because
I knew our Lord wanted us there. We all prayed together and seeking our Lord
for strength, thanking Him for the troubles and praising Him for answering
our prayers. The Lord Jesus Christ is our strength, we stood in front of
Planned Parenthood with signs for truth against the lies, He uplifted our
hearts and we sang His praises and prayed for many. As we were standing
there, the traffic had stopped for the light and was backed up… there was
a van in front of me, it was in such a position that I could see the face of
a very young toddler sitting in the back seat looking at me and smiling. We
just smiled at each other for the minute it took the light to turn, the
lighting of the sun shinning through the windows gave the child a glow
around her little face… this was very touching, such a blessing as I began
to pray for her little life and salvation of her soul. It was a most amazing
and unexpected thing and how it encouraged my heart!  The sign I was holding
said “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made and has a picture of a developing baby,
I wonder if she was smiling at the baby picture!

We plan to be at the abortion clinic Thursday May eleventh at eleven A.M.
for side walk counseling and then in front of P.P. at three P.M. We are
already praying that our Lord would work in the heart of the mothers and
change their minds. We are also praying for opportunities to give the
Gospel, there are so many needy ones that walk the streets there.

Much love to you in our dear Lord Jesus Christ from us all,
Sarah
