Dear Ones,
We were aware of your prayers yesterday, a deep peace, hearts full of rejoicing in our Lord but sorrowing for the lost. It’s exciting and amazing to see the prayers and work in action.
The mothers showed up at the abortion clinic around 11:30 a.m.but we had been there a couple hours earlier. The first, Jim offered help and asked her to look at the ultra-sound the girl turned on Jim and yelled several times over pointing at him; “you can’t talk to us”. This of course isn’t true and we must be a voice for the little ones condemned to die! Michael was able to speak out to a mother saying “they are not telling you the whole truth, don’t let them kill your child”… she yelled something and went in.
The alley way it is such a good place to pray and praise the Lord, the spiritual battle is intense at the clinic, cannot be described in words. We often remember the examples of victories won in the Old Testament when the children of Israel gave thanks and praise to God. We mention often to each other how the most exciting and glorious battles that are being won are the spiritual ones, we will probably only know in Heaven. However, we are not doing this to see results but simply obeying God and leaving results to Him!
Yesterday in the alley a girl and two young men in their early twenties came walking along and one was singing some silly song, we offered a paper to him about abortion, He looked intently at me and said his girl friend had an abortion against his will said; ”yeah, it’s really tough but I’m getting over it.” We offered “words of life”but said he had to catch up with his friends..we told Zac we would pray for him. A little later as Michael was pleading for the life of a baby Zac walked past and yelled out “it’s murder!”. Oh please pray that we might be able to meet him again and he will listen to the Gospel.
So much happened yesterday! It would take too long to write every thing! To shorten this, in summery…Three mothers took the information packets, one was very young, her parents were with her, she began to look at it right away and must have opened it right to the page that showed pictures of an aborted baby because she quickly handed it to her mother, who in turn looked and then threw the papers on the sidewalk… I made a plea for the baby saying” it’s your baby, please protect your baby” as I called out, her mother made very bad obscene jesters at me.
To conclude, God had us there early for a reason… a girl was hanging around the clinic waiting for her boy friend. The Lord prompted me to speak to her. Please pray for Terry, her six year old son and her boy friend. Terry has been on drugs for some time now but three days ago decided to quit, destroying her equipment and all. On Wed. night she told her boy friend she needed God. They went to the Lake front and she went out to look at the waves, there she screamed to God “HELP ME”. The next day the Lord had us there to give her the Gospel a Bible and my phone number. Praise our Lord Jesus Christ! He works such wonders!
Please continue to pray about the Fourth of July Parade and the pro-life float and that people will wake up to the truth. Also that we might be able to give out hundreds of Gospel tracts! We don’t know the abortion day next week but will send an alert when we do because PRAYER IS NEEDED!!!!!!
