Dearest Ones,
I feel such deep gratitude to God for your prayers and your concern as we go out in the pro-life work weekly. He is answering the prayers and moving in such mighty ways that all I can do is be amazed and seek to know Him better, because He is so wonderful to know.
Mr. Tuttle had to be in Snt. Paul for Pro-Life work there Tuesday morning and the enemy seems to be much more aggressive against us when the Leadership is not present. We were in front of the abortion clinic with confidence in our Saviour and He certainly kept us safe. After we gathered for prayer and got into our positions, in the alley and in front. A mother and daughter came, refused our material and became very angry saying they had made their peace with God and we didn’t know what had happened. We asked them to change their minds about abortion, that there were alternatives and we could help them… the mother was most angry, I told her how this will hurt her daughter and destroy her grandchild. they would not listen and went in.
Michael offered material in the alley to a couple and the young man became very angry and cursed him… he said that his girl friend was raped by a black man. Michael responded that rape was a terrible thing, but that abortion was worse. The young man said that the Nazi’s did it, Michael asked, does that make it okay?!… as they left and entered the clinic Michael told him that he would have to face God on judgement day……
As a father and his daughter walked past me to go into the clinic, I asked him if he thought murder was wrong, he paused for a minute and said, “sometimes it’s not wrong.” I told him God says it is wrong… he just smirked and went in as we asked them to change their mind and let the baby live.
Even as Leah and I were singing a Hymn in praise to our Saviour a man in a car pulled up near us, rolled down his window cursed us and said, “get a job.” We were surprised at all the anger there on Tues, but isn’t it wonderful that our Lord brought six different people to encourage us during the time we were there. Four different people came up to us and told us that we were doing a wonderful job and “keep up the good work”! Two ladies that went into the clinic and came out soon afterward were from a church in Ashland WI. and had gone in to give the gospel to the girls with hope to persuade them not to abort the babies. They were soon told to leave, but how encouraging to us that they had tried!
Another girl refused material and made obscene jesters as Lori made a plea for the life of the baby… This same girl and the young man that Michael had talked with were later outside smoking, I didn’t know about the other things that had happened. As I made a plea for the life of the baby and told them we cared about them and could help, the girl leaned forward from the bench she was sitting on, stuck out her neck and yelled, “this baby is going to die!” This about floored me… all I could say was that we would pray for them, at this the young man cursed and said, ” –blank– your God.” he then cursed me and cursed my prayers; he told me to go and get on my knees and bawl, then called me a hypocrite.
Yesterday in front of Planned Parenthood there were strange things said to us.. one girl drove by and yelled, “I love abortion” and other incredibly evil things were yelled at us. We did have an opportunity to speak with a girl that had come out of P.P. she asked questions that we were able to answer and took material and a gospel track. Please remember her in prayer. There were seven that took material, a record number!
This is a long report, but I feel needful… With so much prayer, there has been more activity from the enemy, and that is a good sign that God is moving greatly in ways we may never know until Eternity… but we know His is moving and we are excited about it!
Next Tuesday May 7th at 7:30 a.m. abortions are scheduled… please remember to start praying even now for babies and mothers to be saved from abortion. Many gospel tracts were given out on Tuesday but not many opportunities to speak the gospel to people, please pray that we might be able to and some might be saved!
There is an effort to help people in Virginia MN.to get involved in Pro-Life work there….. so on Thursday, May 10th, we plan to meet with those interested and to pass out literature and then stand in front of the Planned Parenthood building there. Please pray for those who will join us and for God to glorify His Name through this effort, and for babies to be saved from death and the gospel given out to many.
